At 2 am on 8/19/03. The story of ChinaTown in San Francisco, CA seen through the eyes of the people who lived through the begining of its history. The Chinese-American community!
At 3 am on 8/20/03. P.O.V.: "West 47th Street." The life of 4 people with mental illness in Fountain House (a house that boards and responds to the mental illness community in New York). Their every day life is filmed for a period of 3 yrs.
At 4:30 am (8/20/03) in the morning on PBS (Vermont Public Television) called "Fiesta in the Sky". A magnificent event that was introduced in 1972 and since then happens every year in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 10 days every October. Named the "Kodak Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta." People from all over the world come to see the spectacle. This was the history of how the balloons work and why the fiesta is the most popular ballooning event in the world. There are competitions and events that create this magnificent, multi-hued canopy of light. We have also festivals here in Quebec:
- Montgolfeires in St. Jean-sur-Richelieu that was held from August 9-17, 2003.
- Montgolfieres de Gatineau in Gatineau from August 29 to September 1, 2003. It's their 16th festival!
- Festival de montgolfieres de Becancour in Becancour held From July 17-20, 2003. It's the 13th festival. The site is only in French!
- Festivent in St-Jean-Chrysostome held from July 30 to Agust 3 2003.
Pretty damn cool!!! I wish I had know could have gone to some... And I can't even go to the one that will be held in late August. As I hit the road to TO... Yes, for a week!!! Armando will be taking care of Pikachu - aka: mr. rat!
